Online Time Tracker
Clock in, clock out, note what each block was for. Free, no sign-up, export to CSV.
Entries live in this browser only — no server, no account. Export a CSV before clearing browser data.
How to use the online time tracker
- Describe the work — type what this block of time is for (a client, a task, a project). This is optional but it's what makes the log useful later.
- Clock in — press Start (or the space bar). The clock counts up from your device's system clock, so it stays accurate even if your browser throttles the tab.
- Clock out — press Stop when you're done. The block becomes one entry with its date, start time, end time, duration and description.
- Export — tick the entries you want (or Select all) and press Export selected CSV for a clean spreadsheet-ready file.

Built for billable hours, timesheets and side projects
- Freelancers — log each client block as you work, then export selected entries straight into an invoice. The decimal Hours column does the rounding math for you.
- Billable hours — clock in when a call starts, clock out when it ends. No retroactive guessing at the end of the week.
- Timesheets — the CSV opens cleanly in Excel and Google Sheets: Date, Start, End, Duration, Hours, Description. Paste it into payroll or a timesheet template.
- Consultants & agencies — keep one running log per day, select the rows that belong to a client, export just those.
- Students & side projects — see where the hours actually go. The description is the part future-you will thank you for.
Your time log lives on this page
This tracker has no sign-up, no server and no database. Entries are stored in your browser's localStorage and survive reloads — they stay until you delete them or clear your browser data, so export a CSV if you want a permanent copy. The clock also survives reloads: if you close the page mid-run and come back, the session resumes from its original start time.

Frequently asked questions
Is my tracked time uploaded to a server?
No. Every entry is saved in your browser's localStorage on your own device. The tracker makes no network requests — there is no server, no database and no account. Clearing your browser data for this site removes the entries, so export a CSV first if you want to keep them.
How do I export my time entries to CSV?
Tick the checkboxes next to the entries you want (or tick Select all), then press Export selected CSV. The file downloads immediately with Date, Start, End, Duration, Hours and Description columns, ready for Excel, Google Sheets or your invoicing tool.
Do I need an account to use the time tracker?
No. The tracker is an online tool with no sign-up: open the page, type what you're working on, and press Start. Nothing is registered and nothing leaves your browser.
What happens if I reload the page while the clock is running?
Nothing is lost. The clock remembers its original start time, so after a reload it resumes the running session with the elapsed time intact. Finished entries persist across reloads too.
Can I edit or delete a tracked entry?
Yes. Press Edit to correct an entry's description, or Delete to remove the entry. The list is yours — it stays on the page until you clear it.
Can I use the tracker for timesheets and billable hours?
Yes. Each entry records the date, start time, end time and duration, and the CSV export includes a decimal Hours column (e.g. 1.25), so you can paste tracked time straight into a timesheet or an invoice.
